What kind of crap is this?!

One of my favourites as a kid in the 60s. The book by John Wyndam is also excellent. I noted that Ron Goodwin wrote some of the musical score, he later wrote some of the score for the 1969 Battle of Britain movie - there are some pieces of music he wrote for his Triffids film score that he reused in the Battle of Britain movie! I reckon the book is a candidate for a remake, with modern CGI etc and tweaked for a modern audience it would scare the daylights out of a modern audience.

I remember seeing the end of this movie, when those things are chasing and killing folks. This was decades ago when I was a kid, it was shown on some local TV station where the afternoon time slot was science fiction/horror movies. I caught the last of this film, and never saw it again until today--by accident. I never learned its title.

My goodness! Yikes! I didn't expect it to end like that!!! Very similar to events as recent as *2021* . Nearly 3/4 of a century, and we truly have learned nothing of value.

Interesting/informative/informative. Say-??? What prison was this glorious ( B&W) movie filmed in-???🤔. Realistically portrayed inmates/guards/prison setting for that era-!!!🤗. What-!!!😳. No hearing protection in the machine shop-???🤔. Enjoyable Tuesday night movie.

This movie is based on the activities of one John Kasper and his role in the 1956 Clinton, Tennessee Desegregation Crisis. Kasper was a Columbia University grad from New Jersey who went South to engage in anti-integration agitation on the advice of the then-incarcerated poet Ezra Pound. There's a lot of material on the internet about him. Very colorful character, if you'll excuse the expression.

Paul Kelly & DeForesr Kelley are great together in this low budget Pine-Thomas horror/noir.

Denning was a good actor inspite of being very handsome, so what is he doing in this train wreck? Improbable plot of clichés along with a dialog of clichés.

Exciting story and film! Loved it .... This Doris Day (Renna) kept me captivated throughout trying to be sure she wasn't the other Doris!!! hehehe

Considering the present-day times we're living in, that street preacher's message in the beginning is what folks need to hear & take heed to. Morality, wholesomeness, godliness, integrity and class seem to be a thing of the past, sadly, and things seem to only be getting worse. 1:29:07 is exactly what I was hoping this entire story was...a bad dream that the grown, unemployed, cowardly, married man who's got a son & another child on the way would finally wake up from. The folks who stormed the prison and took matters into their own hands are just as criminal as the 2 criminals. Too bad this one didn't have a happy ending for the Tyler family. Thanks for the upload.

I had the ending figured out halfway through.

Its ironic how Lenny is still idolized by the Left as a Free Speech Hero. The Left would cancel Lenny so damn fast today he wouldn't get 5 minutes into his spritz before the mob would start to condem him! I think it would be very interesting to do some of Lennys act , a few lines here or there, at a club just to see the crowd absolutely lose thier minds. Theyd have no clue it was Lenny Bruce material and be livid about the words. They know about as much about Bruce as they know about Che Guevara of whoms visage graces thier $40.00 t shirts. Same old bs. But how great it would be to pull this off only to lay it on em' later that thier Saint Lenny of What They Dont know, performed this stuff and the conservatives acted just like them!Show em' what hypocrites they are.

Strangely enough, Rocky sounds a lot like Norm MacDonald to me. A slight resemblance, too.
